Working in emergency departments and urgent cares usually means that when patients come into my care, they are having one of their worst days. Because of that, my care must be as much about listening, comforting, and advocating as much as it as about diagnostics and treatment plans.
Sometimes I can’t take away all the pain, or find the cause for their symptoms. And as disappointing as that is, I balance it with honesty and a fierce dedication to patient and staff safety. I let my patients know these priorities from the beginning of our relatively short encounters, and find that we usually make excellent teammates while in my care.
We’re new to Colorado by way of many flat states and hope you’ll share your favorite things to do and places to eat with us!
