Dr. Ouderkirk is also certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. As a Westerner from Idaho, he attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, graduating with a degree in Biology. He went on to receive a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He then completed an internship at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, followed by a two-year Surgical Residency at Edgewater Medical Center in Chicago. “My mission is to provide my patients with the latest treatments available to keep their feet and ankles healthy for a lifetime. I am proud to give the most advanced care in a friendly environment where patients feel right at home. I have suffered from foot problems myself, so I understand podiatry from both a doctor and patient perspective. It is important for me to put every patient at ease and share information that can improve the patient’s quality of life. ” When Dr. Ouderkirk is not treating patients, he spends time with his wife, Dana and twin daughters, Johanna and Elizabeth. With his family, he enjoys the outdoor sports of skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and climbing.
