Dr. Crystal Erickson joined the UCHealth Thoracic Surgery team and will be caring for patients at 525 Bob Peters Grove in Colorado Springs.

Dr. Erickson’s clinical interests include benign and malignant disorders of the lungs, mediastinum, chest wall, esophagus and foregut with a special interest in oncology and robotic procedures. Her philosophy is to provide evidence-based, patient-focused care.  “I believe in patient-centered care where the patient always comes first and treatment plans are individualized to meet their specific needs,” she said.

Dr. Erickson earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas, School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas.  She completed her general surgery residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon during which time she also completed a clinical fellowship in immunotherapy at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.  She completed her fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
