Dr. Courtney Vetter feels that providing comprehensive health care throughout women’s lives is a privilege that she does not take lightly. “I find joy at work and view this journey as a calling, rather than a job. Guiding pregnant patients (and their partners) through their pregnancy and ultimately delivering their babies is one of the most gratifying experiences. I also enjoy providing routine gynecologic care, listening carefully to my patient to understand the problem and working with her to determine an appropriate, patient-centered solution, whether medical or surgical. I treat every patient as if she is my grandmother, mother, sister, or close friend.”
Dr. Vetter provides routine obstetric care, gynecologic care, and performs minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches.
Dr. Vetter attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Minor in Business, with Highest Honors. She attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and received her Medical Doctorate with Distinction in Global Health for her research and medical work in South America. Her passion for global health has led her to care for patients in multiple parts of the world, including Haiti, Guatemala, Argentina, and Peru. Dr. Vetter completed her medical residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado in Denver where she served as Duty Hours Chief Resident. She received the prestigious Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine Resident Award for Excellence in Obstetrics and was also selected for numerous awards during residency for serving as a team player, demonstrating dedication to teaching, and maintaining a positive attitude.
Most of Dr. Vetter’s free time is spent with her husband and young daughter, Maddie. During their time off, they enjoy participating in all of the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. They are so happy to call Colorado Springs their home!
