Dr. Chris Evilsizer is a hospitalist at UCHealth. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the University of Colorado. He practiced outpatient medicine at Rose Medical Center in Denver before joining Memorial Hospital in 2002.

Dr. Evilsizer became a doctor because he could join his love of science and love of people into a profession. During his daily rounds in the hospital, he said he strives to make patients feel more at ease.

Christopher Evilsizer knows exactly what kind of doctor he wants to be: “I want to be a doctor who never stops learning. I want to be a doctor who spends time with his patients. I want to be a doctor who understands that patients don’t only get sick during office hours. I want to be a doctor who can explain diagnoses and prognoses in a way that doesn’t confuse patients.” Evilsizer, who is board certified in Internal Medicine, attended medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

He practices at Memorial as a hospitalist – a physician who specializes in the care of hospitalized patients. “I want to be a doctor that patients trust, he added. “I want to be a doctor who understands what an honor it is to be a doctor.” Dr. Evilsizer enjoys all sports – particularly soccer, golf, tennis and skiing. He also likes to watch movies and read – “The Catcher in the Rye” and “To Kill a Mockingbird” are two favorites. The Colorado native also has three children ranging in age from 13 to 20.
