I believe in a care model of shared decision making with my patients. I view my role as both counselor and provider. In working with patients, I strive to provide sound advice from which my patients can make health decisions that fit with their health goals and personal beliefs.

From an early age, I was interested in finding a means of helping people in their times of greatest need. Becoming a physician was a natural fit with this. As I progressed through my medical training I became convinced that the fields of General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care would allow me to make the greatest impact on my patients lives.

In seeking out a clinical practice I had two primary desires; first, to return to my native Colorado to serve the people of this area, and second to join a health system that was attempting to improve on the quality of patient care. UCHealth is a system that stands out in both regards. It is a growing network of providers dedicated to the improvement of the health and healthcare delivery for the people of Colorado.
