My philosophy of patient care is centered on providing evidence-based, compassionate and patient-centered care. I believe in looking at the whole clinical picture rather than focusing solely on an individual symptom or diagnosis. This begins with taking a thorough history and performing a comprehensive physical examination to better understand each patient’s unique needs and circumstances.
I believe that education is an essential part of quality healthcare. I take the time to explain diagnoses, treatment options and recommendations in a way that patients can understand. I encourage open communication and questions so that patients feel comfortable and confident in their care.
Most importantly, I believe patients should be active participants in their healthcare decisions. By combining clinical evidence and experience with each patient’s individual goals, values and preferences, I strive to develop a collaborative treatment plan that supports both their health and overall well-being.
I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. I graduated from Gannon University, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. I have spent the past 17 years practicing in primary care.
Although I have lived away from Buffalo for most of my adult life, I remain a proud Buffalonian and a passionate fan of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling with my family, running, hiking, camping, and cheering on my two boys as they participate in baseball and hockey. Though only casual runner, I have completed three half marathons, but look forward to accomplishing new running goals.
Family, adventure and creating lasting memories are especially important to me. One of my family’s goals is to visit all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums together. We use these trips to not only check out a new baseball stadium but also to explore the city and surrounding area.
