I strive to provide compassionate care to patients and their families. Given that a person must be hospitalized to meet me as his or her physician, I recognize that I am caring for people at scary and vulnerable times. I attempt to educate patients and their loved ones (if permitted) about their illnesses and do my best to communicate in understandable terms. I find it rewarding to discharge people from the hospital feeling better than when I met them, ideally with a better understanding of their acute and chronic medical problems.

My husband and I met working in a bicycle shop. We’ve enjoyed miles of bicycle touring and mountain biking together. Our latest adventure is teaching our two little boys how to ride.

I’m excited to be part of an excellent medical system, providing quality care to patients and contributing to the education of physicians in training.
