When people need medical care, they are in their most vulnerable state. The way a patient, and even their family, experience that medical care is very important to me. Being raised by a surgeon and a nurse has forever instilled in me the significance of caring for each patient as if they were my own family.
As a physician assistant, I feel it is crucial to treat patients and their families with not only sympathy, but empathy. I am there to support them as a health care professional, and also as a human. Each patient and their family deserve to understand the issues we are treating, and the steps we are taking in that treatment plan. I want my patients to feel comfortable under my care and not be afraid to ask questions—good communication is the key to successful medical care. I consistently strive and hope to be a comfort and helping hand to people going through a difficult time.
My husband and I grew up in Boulder and now have the privilege of raising our two children here and showing them what we love about it. We enjoy all the typical Colorado activities. You will find us in the mountains when there is snow, on the reservoir when it’s hot, hiking year round, and toting the kids on our bikes until the weather won’t allow it.
