Dr. Dunn learned to empathize with patients from a very young age. While growing up, she worked in her father’s family dentistry practice. “I so admire my dad’s compassion and gracious care of four generations of family members,” she says.
Today, she brings the same degree of compassionate care to patients in her family medical practice which includes baby, teen, adult and geriatric patients.
Conversation and open-ended questions are the foundation for Dr. Dunn’s communication with patients. “I want my patients to be able to express their concerns and direct their own plan of medical care,” she says.
In her view, she and her patients form a team, and together they determine what medical steps to take next.
In her free time, Dr. Dunn loves to be outside. “I compete in triathlons and road/trail running races,” she says. “I very much enjoy exercising with my husband, son, sister and friends.”
Dr. Dunn also volunteers her time and talent as a physician at Kent Mountain Adventure Center in Estes Park.
