Dr. Powell believes in patient-centered care coupled with treatments based on the latest evidence in surgical diseases. He attended medical school in Memphis at UTHSC from 1999 to 2003. He continued his training as a general surgery resident in Memphis.

After completion of his residency, he did a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at the University of Missouri. From 2009 to 2023 he practiced in Memphis, TN. During that time he served as section chief for general and acute care surgery at UTHSC. He looks to bring these experiences to Colorado and continue to provide quality surgical care to patients of this region.

When I am not involved with patient care, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have been happily married to my wife of 11 years and have four children. We all enjoy playing a multitude of sports and playing outside.
