I believe in meeting the needs of the patient and helping them attain their care goals. I enjoy staying abreast of the latest treatments and applying evidence based medicine (EBM) to patient care. I also subscribe to the osteopathic principles and philosophies of treating the not only the patient’s disease state but treating the patient’s mind, body, and spirit.

Clinical interest for patients

I am a strong advocate for preventive care and patient education, which includes involving their support network. The hospital environment allows providers to not only provide education to the patient, but also to those who are there to support and care for their loved one.

Research interest for patients

Development and implementation of clinical documentation improvement, quality measures and utilization review are a personal interest.  I also enjoy looking at physician work flow and how we can use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to improve this process. This enhances the care provided to patients while also improving the work flow experience for providers.

Volunteer activities

I’m happily married to my wonderful wife, Cristina. We have two children, Miles and Ella. We also have a rescue dog named Gypsy.
