Building relationships and create a welcoming environment is the foundation to my care. Becoming more flexible and strengthening stabilizing muscle goes a long way for athletes. I try to keep it simple, challenging and fun. The end goal is to get the athlete back as safely and efficiently as possible, both mentally and physically. UCHealth offers a huge network of resources and opportunities for our high school athletes. From surgery and rehab to performance training UCHealth Steadman Hawkins Clinic Denver is a one stop shop for all our athletes.

I grew up in Conifer Colorado and spent my days playing sports and being outside. When I was in high school, I got injured and I spent many hours in the Athletic Training room. Through the hours of my own treatment and seeing others get treated, I was inspired to go into Athletic Training. I attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff Arizona, another small mountain town, and earn my Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and a Masters in Secondary Education. While at NAU I played water polo for the Club team and was very involved in intramural sports. After college I moved back to Colorado and started working at Cherokee Trail High School as a teacher and Athletic Trainer. As a teacher I developed a Health Science Program at CTHS for students to explore sports medicine and other medical professions. This is something I wish I could of done in high school. Outside of work I still spend as much time as possible outside, compete in Kettlebell Sport and make memories with my family.
