To ensure patients receive individualized, personal care, I connect with patients by listening compassionately and reading their body language. This allows me to better tailor specific treatments for each of my patients. This method also helps to foster a relationship built on mutual trust. Being an osteopath, I firmly believe that each of us are comprised of a mind, a body and a spirit. If one of these aspects is not in balance, disarray can ensue. A top priority for me as a physician is for my patients to understand what is impacting their health and how to best cope with these daily challenges to maximize a healthy living environment so that they are free to pursue their passions.
I grew up in the low-country of South Carolina and have lived in many parts of the US while pursuing my education. I have happily called Colorado home for the last 10 years. I have a wonderful husband and a young son, who both keep me laughing regularly. I also come from a close large Italian family, so I talk with my hands a lot.
I love to swim, walk, hike, bake and garden in my free time. I am a Packers fan and enjoy watching football with my family. I am interested in learning about various countries and cultures, and enjoy traveling both domestically and abroad. I have volunteered in the homeless shelter medical clinic in Grand Junction as part of residency. I also volunteered at the Marian House Soup Kitchen in Colorado Springs.
I am excited to join the UCHealth network because the teamwork across multiple medical disciplines is ultimately what beneficially impacts patients’ well-being and long-term health. The network that has been developed by UCHealth will enable me to best care for my patients compassionately, efficiently and thoroughly.
