I work with my patients to help them understand their illness, to define the best plan for their care that meets their individual health goals and help them understand how to best manage the components of their lifestyle that affect their health.
I believe that health outcomes are dependent on medical management but even more importantly patient participation in their wellness with optimal mobility, nutrition and disease specific interventions that are recommended. I strive to ensure communication with my patient and their family is timely and understandable and to advocate with all members of the care team to ensure care is as seamless as possible within the hospital and across transitions into and out of the hospital to home or another health care facility. I hope to positively motivate my patients to improve their health with their lifestyle choices and to actively participate in their medical care to the extent that they are able.
My interest in science and desire to interact with patients to promote their health, the basis for quality in life. The vision to improve health, strong clinical leadership and an incredible spirit of collaboration to work together to ensure excellence in the care we deliver to every patient.
