Dr. Sylvester can only accept patients referred by a UCHealth primary care provider. Please consult your primary care provider regarding psychiatric care. If you want to establish care with a UCHealth primary care provider, please click here.
As a physician specializing in psychiatry, I have always approached patient care from the perspective that we are whole beings whose brains, minds and bodies are interconnected and inseparable. When we are physically ill, we are not able to attend appropriately to our mental health, and when we struggle with mental health issues, we cannot attend to our physical well-being. I have always seen myself as a health-care provider first, and a mental health-care provider second. As a result, I firmly believe the absolute best patient care is that which involves a multi-specialty team working collaboratively to address all facets of health, both mental and physical, and I am privileged to work as an embedded team member with physical-health providers who share this outlook.
In my free time I enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and camping with my spouse and friends.
