My care philosophy is centered on fostering a strong patient-doctor relationship engaging in shared decision-making to provide the best care possible to my patients. I believe in introducing patients to their urologic disease through explanation of the pertinent exams and findings. When I have come to a diagnosis I will listen carefully, use diagrams and aids when necessary, and explain the impact of their diagnosis and all available treatment options. I strive to practice evidence-based medicine, following the guidelines set forth by the American Urologic Association. My goal is to help patients and families heal through medical and surgical treatment while providing the best practices in urology.
I grew up in Colorado and did my undergraduate training at The University of Colorado Boulder campus majoring in biochemistry and molecular, cellular, and developmental biology. After college, I moved to Oklahoma where I worked in a research lab before completing medical school at The University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City. I then matched into a urology residency at The University of Connecticut School of Medicine where I completed 5 years of training.
