My care philosophy is based on providing care to patients that is evidence-based and holistic. Trauma and acute care surgery often involve unexpected, life changing events for patients and families and it’s an honor to serve them in these times of need. I believe in effective collaboration with all specialties and disciplines in order to provide favorable patient outcomes.
Nursing allows close patient contact, and I have enjoyed providing care to all walks of life over the years. I am proud to be a nurse practitioner as it allows me to provide further care to patients while collaborating with a health care team. I feel lucky to continue my career in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, as it involves complicated illnesses and/or injuries which challenges me and allows me to patients and families in difficult times.
Outside of caring for patients, I enjoy hiking, camping, running and keeping up with my two small boys.
