I believe that every individual, regardless of age or life circumstances, has the capacity for resilience despite adversity. I also believe that ALL people possess the ability to make desired changes to improve their physical and emotional health. Engaging in therapy is an excellent place to begin the path to making those changes. Therapy provides a unique opportunity in which an individual’s goals are identified and progress is fostered by self-exploration, insight, increasing confidence in the face of challenges, and celebrating accomplishments along the way.
As a therapist, it is my role to create a safe and judgement-free environment in which clients can explore their identities, beliefs, relationships, and experiences in pursuit of improved overall wellbeing. I utilize evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness, to support my clients in attaining their goals. I have extensive experience working with individuals of all ages who struggle with symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and ADHD. I also specialize in working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community as well as those who wish to address challenges related to grief and loss. Finally, I approach every individual with an understanding that they are the expert of their lived experiences and feel truly privileged to join a brief part of their journey toward personal growth.
I am a native of Colorado and delight in any opportunity to spend time outside hiking, camping, or simply soaking in the beauty of our mountains. When I am not exploring the outdoors, I stay busy with CrossFit, listening to an eclectic array of podcasts, and spending time with my partner and two sons. Although I have spent the majority of my life in Colorado, I have also lived in Washington, Massachusetts, Ghana (West Africa), and Tanzania (East Africa).
