I value communication, education, collaboration and honesty in my practice with the goal of patients and their families understanding their serious medical illness as well as possible. By spending time with patients to learn who they are as a person, in conjunction with my medical knowledge, I am able to meet patients where they are and together create a realistic plan of care that most aligns with their goals and values. I also strive to treat patient’s symptoms of disease or effects of treatments to allow for a better quality of life while undergoing various treatments. The same care plan does not fit all, and I find that by individualizing how we care for patients, we will then improve their health outcomes and quality of life.
I recently moved to Colorado from The Bay State Massachusetts with my husband, a podiatrist at UCHealth, and our dog & cat. I have enjoyed embracing the beautiful outdoors and welcoming atmosphere that Colorado has to offer. Every day I am still in awe of the magnificent mountains.
