Endocrinology

Offering all aspects of endocrinology services, UCHealth Endocrinology Clinic – Steamboat Springs is the only clinic in northwest Colorado offering a comprehensive evaluation and long-term management of endocrinology disorders in adult patients.

We also offer a full range of specialized dynamic hormone testing for the complete evaluation of pituitary and adrenal gland function.

Thyroid & parathyroid management
  • Adrenal disease and nodule management.
  • Amenorrhea, irregular menses, and hirsutism in women.
  • Cushing’s Syndrome diagnosis and management.
  • Diagnosis of nodules and goiter.
  • Hypercalcemia management.
  • Hypogonadism management.
  • Hyperthyroidism diagnosis and management.
  • Hypothyroidism diagnosis and management.
  • Lymph node, neck lymph node biopsy.
  • Neck ultrasound.
  • Onsite biopsy service.
  • Osteoporosis management when uncontrolled by oral medications.
  • Parathyroid localization.
  • Pituitary disease management.
  • Pituitary tumors and sellar masses evaluation and follow-up, including the use of dynamic testing as indicated.
  • Polycystic ovarian syndrome management.
  • Thyroid and parathyroid ultrasonography.
  • Thyroid cancer diagnosis and management.
  • Transsexual hormonal management (requires a referral from primary care provider).
Management of uncontrolled diabetes
  • Insulin pump and sensor therapy.
  • Management of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, in collaboration with existing diabetes education and nutrition services at UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center.
    • Patients under 18 years of age will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Scheduling

My Health Connection: your online patient portal

We encourage all our patients to sign up for My Health Connection. This is your personal patient portal to request prescription refills, view your medical records or test results and to contact our office.

Referring physicians: please call 970.875.2708 to request an appointment with our scheduler.

While we welcome self-referrals, we kindly request supporting records for review ahead of scheduling an appointment in order to ensure that we are able to deliver personalized care in a timely fashion.

Online scheduling is currently not available. Once your referral has been received, a representative from our office will contact you to schedule an appointment.

What to bring

Please provide the following information at your scheduled appointment:

  • Photo ID.
  • Insurance card.
  • Referral, if needed.
  • A list of all medications, including supplements and over-the-counter medications.
  • Your glucometer, if you have diabetes.

To allow enough time to complete your check-in process, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.

We require 48-hour advanced notice if you cannot make it to your appointment. New patients who miss two appointments may not be rescheduled.
