President and CEO, UCHealth Medical Group
David Williams, MD, MMM, CPE, FAAP, serves as the president and CEO of UCHealth Medical Group, the physician-led group serving UCHealth hospitals and clinics.
With about 1,600 physicians and advanced practice providers, UCHealth Medical Group provides a full continuum of medical care and the highest level of expertise. UCHealth clinics, staffed by UCHealth Medical Group physicians and APPs, operate through an integrated, multi-specialty physician and health system partnership. Physicians who are employed by UCHealth practice at more than 150 clinic locations as well as hospitals along the Front Range of Colorado.
Prior to joining UCHealth in 2024, Dr. Williams served as the chief clinical officer for UnityPoint Health, a three-state network of hospitals, clinics and home care services based in Iowa, where he drove clinical excellence and performance accountability. Previously, he was the president and CEO of UnityPoint Clinic and UnityPoint at Home, which together serve as the ambulatory division of UnityPoint Health.
Dr. Williams is a recognized leader in care delivery and health care transformation, including population health and value-based performance. Additionally, he is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and completed his residency at Oregon Health Sciences University.
