This allows us to give you our full attention during your visit, ensuring we capture all of the important details of your care without distraction.
How will this help you?
We turn this technology during your appointment so it makes a recording of our conversation, which our technology then analyzes and uses to enter key information into your medical record. Your provider is then given a draft of the recording that they can edit and update from your appointment. It means we can focus on you instead of looking at the computer screen. We want to be really present during our appointments with you, and we’re trying out this technology to help.
Abridge empowers us to be completely engaged with you, minimizing distractions and maximizing face-to-face time.
Is this private and secure?
Privacy and security are very important to our patients and to us. Abridge is HIPAA compliant and all of the data is encrypted. Only you and your care team will have access to the summary. Your conversations will never be shared outside of your health record.
Your provider may reference the recording of your conversation while they write your appointment notes. Your provider’s notes will be saved in your record, but the recording will be deleted in 30 days.
Is the entire conversation recorded?
The recording can be stopped and restarted at any time. If there are parts of your conversation you would not like recorded, just let your provider know. You are in control of how much is recorded or not.
