When this is all over, you will go home and spend time with your families, with nothing hanging over you. In times where hope is almost lost and our country is divided, there is one thing that holds it all together; you heroes. To think that as while I’ve been sitting inside isolating that you’re out in the streets helping and saving our community quite literally blows my mind. Even if it doesn’t feel like it all the time, you are a hero. With all the superhero movies that have come out in the past decade people have forgotten what a real hero is. Real heroes don’t fly around the city with superpowers shooting things. Real heroes help other people in times of need at expense to themselves. I want you to know that you are loved and appreciated in our community for all of the hard work you’ve done and continue to do. In doing this work you save our lives at the risk of yourself. Though it’s a debt that can never be repaid, know that there are people out there who love and support you for the work you do. Take solace in the fact that we’re on our way through the storm, and that even if it’s foggy, I see the shimmering wave of light at the end of the tunnel. Once again brave citizen, Thank you.
