In a time of great uncertainty, it is the heroes in the hospitals that keep society running all the same. We, the healthy ones, thank the nurses, doctors, assistants, schedulers, observers, surgeons, scientists, pharmacists, janitors, and kitchen staff for keeping our loved ones hopeful through this virus. We thank you for your bravery to walk into work day by day. We thank you for your tireless efforts to find the vaccine. We thank you for your kindness and trust in our loved ones. We thank you for your long shifts. We thank you for coming to work without knowing anything about this virus. We thank you for everything you are doing to keep Denver, the state of Colorado, and the United States safe. Thanks to your hard work and sacrifice, we will get through this together. Our 34 year old daughter has had breast cancer surgery since the first of the year and is currently undergoing chemotherapy at UCHealth. Especially during this global heath crisis, we are in awe at the loving care that she has been given by the conscientious staff at the hospital. Our hearts are full of gratitude!!

Of all the times to have an emergency, I broke my wrist and the bone was sticking out through the skin! Yikes! This was in mid-March and I had to spend the night at MCR, which was during the run-up to the big scare with COVID-19. Despite this, I felt so well taken care of. You folks are the best at patient care. Thanks for working so hard during this catastrophic pandemic and for all you do during "normal" times!
