Check the kids’ physicals off your to-do list.

Getting your child a physical exam for sports, school or camp is as easy as showing up at a UCHealth Urgent care location, where appointments are not necessary.

Sports, school, and camp physicals

Many states, including Colorado, require sports physicals for kids once a year or before participating in any physical activity at a school, camp or community organization.

  • Sports, school and camp physicals are available at select UCHealth urgent care locations for $30.**
  • Physicals are available with no appointment necessary at select urgent care locations.
  • See participating clinic locations below.

Why same day sports physicals?

You signed up your child for summer camp or sports, and then you discover that they need a physical before they can participate—and they need it now.

Sports, school, and camp physicals are available at select UCHealth urgent care clinics for $30.

  • No appointments necessary at urgent care locations.

What can I expect?

Specific requirements vary, but during a sports or school physical at a UCHealth clinic, your provider may:

  • Review your child’s medical history with you.
  • Perform a physical examination.
  • Give you information on signs of concussion.
  • Complete forms needed for your child to participate in sports or school activities (forms to be provided by parent/guardian).

From everyday checkups to urgent illnesses and minor injuries, our medical center brings expert care close to home for you and your family.

What should I bring?

Bring any required forms for health care providers to complete. If your child wears glasses or contacts, bring those along to the exam as well. Minors must be accompanied by an adult chaperone or guardian and have parental/guardian permission.

**Most sports, school, or camp physicals are not covered by insurance. Payment by cash or credit card may be required at the time of service.

The steps we've taken to boost patient safety

  • We’ve redesigned our reception area to ensure physical distancing.
  • We conduct frequent cleaning of high-touch areas.
  • We have enhanced our check-in process, and allow patients to wait in their cars when appropriate.
