UCHealth operates multiple “free-standing emergency rooms” in communities along the Front Range.
Under each of the expandable headings below (click to open) are two files (in English and Spanish):
“Pre-screening disclosure.” This document provides patient information about emergency care at a free-standing facility, and your rights as a patient.
“Post-screening disclosure.” This pricing information is specific to the facility and lists the non-discounted charge prices for the most common services and the insurance plans that include the facility in-network.
Patients very rarely pay charge prices. Uninsured patients receive a self-pay discount and may be eligible for additional financial assistance. Actual prices for insured patients visiting an in-network facility are based on discounts negotiated by the patient’s insurance company, and the patient’s out-of-pocket cost is based on the terms of the patient’s own insurance plan.
