Jennifer L. Wiler, MD, MBA is chief quality officer for UCHealth’s Metro Denver region and co-founder of the UCHealth CARE Innovation Center.

She is a professor and former executive vice chair of University of Colorado School of Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine and is a professor at the University of Colorado Denver School of Business. Dr. Wiler is a nationally-recognized expert in quality and safety, health care operations, and payment policy. She has authored over 60 peer-reviewed papers and is senior editor of the book “Value and Quality Innovations in Acute and Emergency Care” (Cambridge Press, 2017).

Dr. Wiler serves on the Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC), a federal expert panel within the Department of Health and Human Service which consults to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). She served in numerous state and national leadership positions including chair of the American Medical Association Women Physicians Congress, which represents all women physicians, and as the representative for the American College of Emergency Physicians to the AMA RBRVS Updates Committee (RUC).

Dr. Wiler was named Emergency Physician of the Year by the Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians, a Nation’s Top Emergency Physicians 45 Under 45 by the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association and Inspirational Physician by the American Medical Association.
