Si practicamos y participamos en estrategias de cuidado de la salud, permitimos que estos sistemas (de equilibrio) funcionen con mayor eficacia\u201d.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:360,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Reconocer y aceptar una variedad de emociones tambi\u00e9n puede ser fundamental para cuidar la salud mental. Esto puede resultar dif\u00edcil en la cultura actual, que no siempre fomenta que las personas sientan y comprendan sus emociones.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201c<\/span>Existe una gran brecha en la comprensi\u00f3n de la neurociencia de nuestras emociones<span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201d<\/span>, dijo Goodwin. <span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201c<\/span>Las emociones son una forma de comunicaci\u00f3n directa hacia nosotros y para nuestro propio beneficio. Si aprendemos a interpretar lo que nuestras emociones intentan decirnos, seremos m\u00e1s felices. Si ignoramos las primeras se\u00f1ales emocionales de estr\u00e9s y malestar, estas pueden intensificarse y volverse mucho m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de manejar. Como dice el proverbio chino: &#8220;El gato ignorado se convierte en tigre&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Se pueden adoptar otras medidas para reducir el estr\u00e9s, como hacer ejercicio regularmente, llevar una alimentaci\u00f3n saludable y evitar el alcohol, el cual, seg\u00fan explica Goodwin, altera el sistema endocrino y puede provocar inflamaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201c<\/span>Podemos desarrollar estrategias de salud conductual para ayudar a regular estos cambios hormonales, ya que tambi\u00e9n son sensibles a los procesos inflamatorios<span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201d<\/span>, afirm\u00f3 Goodwin.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien los medicamentos pueden desempe\u00f1ar un papel importante en el tratamiento, Goodwin anima a los pacientes a buscar un enfoque terap\u00e9utico integral.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201c<\/span>La mayor\u00eda de los trastornos emocionales asociados a la desregulaci\u00f3n emocional se tratan mejor mediante una combinaci\u00f3n de medicaci\u00f3n, procesamiento cognitivo y el aprendizaje de t\u00e9cnicas eficaces para gestionar el estado de \u00e1nimo<span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201d<\/span>, dijo Goodwin.<\/p>\n<h2><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Recibir apoyo de salud mental puede iniciar a trav\u00e9s de su m\u00e9dico de atenci\u00f3n primaria<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Entre las se\u00f1ales de que alguien podr\u00eda estar pasando por dificultades se incluyen llorar m\u00e1s de lo habitual, cansancio o fatiga, insomnio, aislamiento, aumento o p\u00e9rdida repentina de peso, cambios de humor r\u00e1pidos o dr\u00e1sticos y una afecci\u00f3n llamada anhedonia, o la incapacidad de sentir placer.<\/p>\n<p>Goodwin anima a las mujeres a no ignorar los s\u00edntomas y a comunicar cualquier inquietud a su m\u00e9dico de atenci\u00f3n primaria.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cSu m\u00e9dico no puede ayudarle con cosas que desconoce\u201d, dijo Goodwin, al referirse a la importancia de comunicar a su profesional de la salud c\u00f3mo se siente. \u201cComprender la conexi\u00f3n mente-cuerpo ayuda a abordar a la persona en su totalidad\u201d.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:360,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Este art\u00edculo fue publicado originalmente en el Steamboat Pilot.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Desde las fluctuaciones hormonales hasta el embarazo, y desde el posparto hasta la menopausia, las mujeres se enfrentan a factores estresantes \u00fanicos que pueden contribuir al desarrollo de problemas de salud mental.
