Photo: Everyday Latina, for UCHealth.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2 avocados<\/li>\n<li>2 ripe Roma tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>2 jalape\u00f1os<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc small white onion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Place the tomatoes, jalape\u00f1os, and the slice of onion on a flat griddle or on the grill over medium-high heat.<\/p>\n<p>Flip the tomatoes, jalape\u00f1os, and onion until charred all around.<\/p>\n<p>Once charred, place the tomatoes and jalape\u00f1os in a large bowl and cover with plastic wrap.<\/p>\n<p>Leave the jalape\u00f1os and tomatoes in the covered bowl to sweat for about 10 to 15 minutes. This step will make peeling them much easier.<\/p>\n<p>Peel the charred skin from the tomatoes and the jalape\u00f1os and dice them as well as the onion.<\/p>\n<p>In a medium bowl, gently mash the avocado with the back of a fork until you reach your desired consistency.
