From providing recent test results to scheduling appointments, UCHealth\u2019s virtual assistant, Livi, has you covered.<\/p>\n

To get the most out of Livi, download the UCHealth app, log-in, review menu options and try it out.<\/p>\n

“To get a sense of how Livi can help you, it’s best to just jump in and try asking her questions,”<\/span>\u00a0said Matt Andazola, director of experience innovation at UCHealth. \u201cTechnology is improving so much that Livi will likely have an answer. If she doesn\u2019t, rephrase the question a little.\u201d<\/p>\n

Below, Andaloza outlines things to know about Livi.<\/p>\n

Livi is convenient<\/strong><\/h2>\n

By pulling up recent test results or helping compose and send a message to your provider right within the app, Livi is fast and convenient.<\/p>\n

Livi can reset your password<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Before Livi, resetting your My Health Connection password required calling the help desk during business hours and asking for assistance. With Livi, you can reset your password through the app at any time of day, providing convenience for patients and freeing up time for help desk specialists.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know that people are able to get the help they need from human beings because we have Livi on the line to do some of the things we don\u2019t need human beings to do,\u201d Andazola said.<\/p>\n

Livi can follow-up with patients<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Receiving a tough diagnosis can be a shock, making it tough to absorb information provided during an appointment. But follow-up messages allow patients to launch Livi and access more information whenever they\u2019re ready.<\/p>\n

\u201cA diagnosis such as Alzheimer\u2019s is a huge event in someone\u2019s life and in the lives of their family. A lot of people aren\u2019t well equipped when it happens,\u201d Andazola said. \u201cWe want to help people navigate that process with Livi.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Questions you can try asking Livi, UCHealth\u2019s Virtual Assistant:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Here are examples of questions Livi can answer:<\/p>\n

  • Where\u2019s the closest Urgent Care?<\/li>\n
  • What are my test results?<\/li>\n
  • When are my upcoming appointments?<\/li>\n
  • Can you help me find a specialist nearby?<\/li>\n
  • How do I use a video appointment?<\/li>\n
  • How do I upload a file for my provider?<\/li>\n
  • I have allergies. Should I go outside today?<\/li>\n
  • Tell me a joke.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    Livi can help broach challenging topics<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Follow-ups can be helpful in a range of situations, for instance for people who want to stop smoking, or who are dealing with behavioral health situations.<\/p>\n

    \u201cWhen people are in front of their doctor, it can be hard to say, \u2018I\u2019m worried about how many cigarettes I smoke,\u2019\u201d Andazola said. \u201cThere\u2019s something to be said for digital tools that are navigable in the same way a conversation with a human being is, but are not at all judgmental. Livi isn\u2019t thinking one single thing about you. She\u2019s just there to help.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Livi can help you learn<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    If you want to know more about a health-related topic, Livi has information. For instance, the menu button for Advanced Care Planning opens a chat with Livi to learn more and answer common questions, even responding to chats such as, \u201cThis is depressing.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Livi, UCHealth’s virtual assistant, is always there to answer questions and help you navigate your health care. You can even meditate with Livi.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

    \u201cIt\u2019s meant to help guide patients into taking an action that\u2019s really beneficial, which in this case is completing a medical durable power of attorney,\u201d Andazola said.<\/p>\n

    Livi is constantly improving<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    \u201cBecause the technology improves so rapidly, it\u2019s a different experience every time,\u201d Andazola said. \u201cPeople will come back and say, \u2018Oh my gosh, she just knew the answer.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

    Livi can help improve your health<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Want to try a meditation? Or need an idea for something fun to do at a nearby state park? Livi has you covered.<\/p>\n

    \u201cPeople are interested in using digital tools to engage with their health,\u201d Andazola said. \u201cIt\u2019s a way for us to help patients with behaviors and routines that help keep them out of the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Livi is completely private<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    When people use Livi, their identity is masked, and no data history is kept.<\/p>\n

    \u201cAnything you do in Livi has the same amount of data protection as anything you do in UCHealth\u2019s My Health Connection,\u201d Andazola said. \u201cUsers of Livi are as protected as they possibly can be, and that is always paramount to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Livi can quickly get you to a real person<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Technology has its limits, and the goal of implementing Livi on phone lines like the My Health Connection support line is to make it easy to get what you need \u2014 which means you won\u2019t get stuck saying, \u2018Talk to a representative\u2019 over and over.<\/p>\n

    \u201cWe want you to be able to reach a human being as soon as Livi isn\u2019t working for you, if you say, \u2018Talk to a person,\u2019 it happens,\u201d Andazola said.<\/p>\n
