He also has conducted research on several topics, ranging from transport of patients with traumatic brain injuries to optimal platelet and plasma ratios in hemorrhaging trauma patients.<\/p>\n<p>He earned a medical degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. He completed a general surgery residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center (USAF) in San Antonio, and a surgical critical care fellowship at Ben Taub General Hospital through Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
