These are the top ranked hospitals in the northern Colorado region.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Unger, president and chief executive officer of MCR and PVH, said the thousands of employees, physicians and volunteers who work at these hospitals don\u2019t come to work each day thinking about rankings, but this honor reflects their dedication to patients. \u201cOur providers and staff are focused on providing extraordinary care to every patient, every day,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are proud of the U.S. News &amp; World Report rankings because they echo something I\u2019ve always known \u2013 our hospitals and our teams are among the very best.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, U.S. News recognized PVH as a high performing hospital for heart failure, hip replacement and knee replacement. MCR was recognized as a high performing hospital for heart failure and gastroenterology\/gastrointestinal surgery.<\/p>\n<p>PVH and MCR are part of University of Colorado Health (UCHealth), a nonprofit health care system that includes five hospitals and more than 100 clinics throughout Colorado, western Nebraska and southern Wyoming. U.S. News ranks all UCHealth hospitals among the top 10 in Colorado in this year\u2019s rankings. University of Colorado Hospital (UCH), the academic medical center of UCHealth, is ranked No. 1, and Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs is tied at No. 4. University of Colorado Hospital is also ranked among the nation\u2019s best in 11 specialties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUCHealth relies on expert providers, research and innovation to ensure our patients receive the best possible medical care.
