If you love fireworks, the best time of year is upon us. From shows over scenic mountain lakes to booming pyrotechnics that thunder over sports stadiums to colorful bursts of color synchronized with music, Fourth of July fireworks displays in Colorado offer dazzling opportunities to celebrate America’s independence and revel in summer fun.<\/p>\n

So, don red, white and blue, and gear up with blankets and chairs for good viewing to celebrate the Fourth of July.<\/p>\n

Because of Colorado\u2019s current dry conditions and elevated fire risk, some communities have canceled their fireworks shows, while others are monitoring conditions and sharing updates on their event websites. Even where fireworks are called off, many communities plan to move forward with parades and downtown celebrations into the evening.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a round-up of fireworks displays throughout Colorado. Details can change quickly, so check event pages for the latest information before you go.<\/p>\n

And please, always remember to stay safe. (Read tips here<\/a>.) Don\u2019t set off your own fireworks. Instead, let the pros dazzle you.<\/p>\n

Arvada<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The celebration takes place at Stenger Sports Complex<\/a> on July 4. The fireworks are slated to start at about 9:15 p.m. Propane grills are allowed, but no RVs, drones, personal fireworks, pets or alcohol are allowed. Free parking. Check the community’s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aurora<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A 30-minute fireworks display is set for July 4<\/a>, starting at about 9:30 p.m. Experts will set off the fireworks from Bicentennial Park. For a great view, plan to bring blankets and chairs to the Aurora Municipal Center\u2019s Great Lawn. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Berthoud<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Charming Berthoud in northern Colorado celebrates the holiday a day early on July 3. Enjoy music, food trucks, activities, and, of course, fireworks! The event kicks off at 5 p.m. at Berthoud Recreation Center<\/a>, 1000 N. Berthoud Parkway, with fireworks starting at dusk. Check Berthoud’s Facebook<\/a> page for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brighton<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The city’s Fourth of July Celebration<\/a> returns to Carmichael Park, 650 E. Southern St., on July 4. Music starts at 5 p.m. and the fireworks display begins at the conclusion of the concert. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Broomfield<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Broomfield hosts its Great American Picnic and Fireworks<\/a> on July 4 at Broomfield County Commons Park, 13200 Sheridan Blvd. The fireworks display is slated to start at 9:15 p.m. The event starts at 5 p.m. Sign up for updates about the event at the community’s website.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Colorado Springs<\/strong><\/h2>\n

All permitted fireworks displays in Colorado Springs are canceled by order of the City of Colorado Springs. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This event is postponed.<\/strong> The “Star Spangled Symphony & Fourth of July Fireworks”<\/a> returns to Colorado Springs. Enjoy music from the Colorado Springs Philharmonic – broadcast on local radio stations – along with the fireworks display. The music will begin broadcasting at 9 p.m., with fireworks expected to start at 9:15 p.m. There are several opportunities for the public to watch the fireworks shows, but other locations, like Garden of the Gods, will be closed to the public. Colorado Springs’ open spaces are great places to view the various fireworks shows throughout the city.<\/p>\n

The fireworks display is canceled for this event.<\/strong> The Colorado Springs Switchbacks also have a fireworks display<\/a> after their home game on July 4 at Weidner Field downtown.<\/p>\n

Commerce City<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Commerce City celebrates the nation’s birthday with 4thFEST, a free family festival<\/a> outside DICK’s Sporting Goods Park, 6000 Victory Way. This year’s event is a partnership with USA Rugby for the inaugural World Rugby Nations Cup. 4thFEST starts at 3 p.m. and concludes with the fireworks show. Tickets are required to watch the rugby matches. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cripple Creek <\/strong><\/h2>\n

The fireworks display is canceled for this event. <\/strong>The Cripple Creek Fourth of July festivities<\/a> include an 11 a.m. parade, a gem and mineral show at the Cripple Creek District Museum, food trucks, live music, and a beer garden.<\/p>\n

Denver<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Coors Field in downtown Denver\u2019s Ballpark Neighborhood<\/a> hosts back-to-back fireworks shows on July 3th and 4th after the game. Buy tickets or watch from nearby parks and neighborhoods. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Englewood<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The City of Englewood<\/a> is teaming up with Littleton, Sheridan, Arapahoe County and South Suburban Parks and Recreation to celebrate the Fourth of July with a picnic followed by a fireworks display. The picnic starts at 5 p.m. at Belleview Park and Cornerstone. Fireworks will start at about 9:15 p.m. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Erie<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The celebration takes place on July 3 at Erie Community Park<\/a>, 450 Powers St. Experts will launch fireworks at about 9:30 p.m. from the rooftop of the Erie Community Center. Festivities start at 6 p.m. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Estes Park<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The fireworks display is postponed to a later date<\/strong>. Blast off is expected to start<\/a> around 9:30 p.m. on July 4 over Lake Estes.<\/p>\n

Fort Collins<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Fourth of July festivities take place on July 4<\/a> and include a parade along Mountain Avenue, live music in City Park, and a fireworks show over Sheldon Lake starting around 9:35 p.m. Events start at 7:30 a.m. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Glendale<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The community near Denver\u2019s Cherry Creek neighborhood<\/a> will celebrate the Fourth of July with a fireworks display on July 2. The pros set off the fireworks starting at 9:30 p.m. from Infinity Park Event Center. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Greeley<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Greeley Stampede<\/a> will host a fireworks show \u2014 in the northwest corner of Island Grove Park \u2014 at 10 p.m. on July 4. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Highlands Ranch<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The fireworks display is canceled for this event.<\/strong> Highlands Ranch hosts a firework’s display at Highland Heritage Regional Park at 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.<\/p>\n

Lakewood<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Lakewood hosts the \u201cBig Belmar Bash\u201d<\/a> on July 3 starting at 5 p.m., with a drone light show slated to start at 9:15 p.m. The City of Lakewood has declared a Fire Ban for Lakewood\u2019s parks and open space areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Longmont<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The public Longmont fireworks display<\/a> takes place on July 4, starting around 9:30 p.m. They also do a drone show starting at 9:15 p.m. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Loveland<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Loveland’s fireworks display<\/a> is back after being canceled in 2025. It takes place July 4,\u00a0<\/b>at North Lake Park, 2750 N. Pueblo<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Pueblo West’s Jack Fowler Memorial July 4th Celebration<\/a> happens on July 4. Fireworks will be launched at dark on July 4 at Civic Center Park. Get updates on their Facebook page<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

CSU Pueblo’s “Let Freedom Howl!<\/a>,” on the campus on Bonforte Boulevard, has a coordinated fireworks and drone show, set to live symphony music, starting at 9:15 p.m. Check the community\u2019s website for updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Timnath<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Timnath will celebrate the holiday<\/a> at Timnath Reservoir on July 4, featuring live entertainment, family activities and food trucks. The festivities start at 6 p.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.\u00a0 Check the community\u2019s website for the updates.<\/strong><\/p>\n
