If you love fireworks, the best time of year is upon us. From shows over scenic mountain lakes to booming pyrotechnics that thunder over sports stadiums to colorful bursts of color synchronized with music, Fourth of July fireworks displays in Colorado offer dazzling opportunities to celebrate America’s independence and revel in summer fun.<\/p>\n

So, don red, white and blue, and gear up with blankets and chairs for good viewing to celebrate the Fourth of July.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a round-up of fireworks displays throughout Colorado.<\/p>\n

And please, always remember to stay safe. (Read tips here<\/a>.) Don\u2019t set off your own fireworks. Instead, let the pros dazzle you.<\/p>\n

Arvada<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The celebration takes place at Stenger Sports Complex<\/a> on July 4. The fireworks are slated to start at about 9 p.m. Propane grills are allowed, but no RVs, drones, personal fireworks, pets or alcohol are allowed. Free parking.<\/p>\n

Aurora<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A 30-minute fireworks display is set for July 4<\/a>, starting at about 9:30 p.m. Experts will set off the fireworks from Bicentennial Park. For a great view, plan to bring blankets and chairs to the Aurora Municipal Center\u2019s Great Lawn.<\/p>\n

Berthoud<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Charming Berthoud in northern Colorado celebrates the holiday a day early on July 3. Enjoy music, food trucks, activities, and, of course, fireworks! The event kicks off at 5 p.m. at Berthoud Recreation Center<\/a>, 1000 N. Berthoud Parkway, with fireworks starting at dusk.<\/p>\n

Brighton<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The city hosts its Stars & Stripes fireworks display<\/a> on July 3 at about 9:30 p.m. over Riverdale Regional Park, 9755 Henderson Road. The event starts at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Broomfield<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Broomfield hosts its Great American Picnic and Fireworks<\/a> on July 4 at Broomfield County Commons Park, 13200 Sheridan Blvd. The fireworks display is slated to start at 9:15 p.m. The event starts at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

Colorado Springs<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The “Star Spangled Symphony & Fourth of July Fireworks”<\/a> returns to Colorado Springs. Enjoy music from the Colorado Springs Philharmonic – broadcast on local radio stations – along with the fireworks display. The music will begin broadcasting at 9 p.m., with fireworks expected to start at 9:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

There are several opportunities for the public to watch the fireworks shows, but other locations, like Garden of the Gods will be closed to the public. Colorado Spring’s open spaces are great places to view the various fireworks shows throughout the city. Here is a list and map of viewing locations<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/strong>Colorado Springs Switchbacks <\/strong><\/a>also have a fireworks display after their home game on July 4 at Weidner Field downtown.<\/p>\n

Fort Carson will have fireworks as part of its\u00a0<\/strong>Fort Carson Freedom Fest<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>celebration on June 28 from 4-10 p.m.<\/p>\n

Commerce City<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Colorado Rapids<\/a> bill their fireworks display<\/a> as the \u201clargest public fireworks show in the state.\u201d The Rapids match against Sporting Kansas City. The game on July 4 starts at 7:30 p.m., with fireworks to follow.<\/p>\n

Cripple Creek <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Fireworks start<\/a> about 20 minutes after dusk (approximately 9:30 p.m.) on July 4 on the city\u2019s south side, south of Myers Ave. The holiday celebration takes place Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n

Denver<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Coors Field in downtown Denver\u2019s Ballpark Neighborhood<\/a> hosts back-to-back fireworks shows on July 4th and 5th after the game. Buy tickets or watch from nearby parks and neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park<\/a> hosts fireworks on July 5.<\/p>\n

Englewood<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The City of Englewood<\/a> is teaming up with Littleton, Sheridan, Arapahoe County and South Suburban Parks and Recreation to celebrate the Fourth of July with a picnic followed by a fireworks display. The picnic starts at 5 p.m. at Belleview Park and Cornerstone. Fireworks will start at about 9:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

Erie<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The celebration takes place on July 3 at Erie Community Park<\/a>, 450 Powers St. Experts will launch fireworks at about 9:30 p.m. from the rooftop of the Erie Community Center. Festivities start at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Estes Park<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Blast off is expected to start<\/a> around 9:30 p.m. on July 4 over Lake Estes.<\/p>\n

Fort Collins<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Fourth of July festivities take place on July 4<\/a> and include a parade along Mountain Avenue, live music in City Park, followed by a fireworks show starting around 9:35 p.m. over Sheldon Lake. Events start at 7:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

Glendale<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The community near Denver\u2019s Cherry Creek neighborhood<\/a> will celebrate the Fourth of July with a fireworks display on July 2. The pros set off the fireworks starting at 9:30 p.m. from Infinity Park Event Center.<\/p>\n

Golden<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Golden Lions Club<\/a> hosts the celebration on July 4 at Lions Park on 10th<\/sup> Street.<\/p>\n

Greeley<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Greeley Stampede<\/a> will host a fireworks show \u2014 in the northwest corner of Island Grove Park \u2014 at 10 p.m. on July 4.<\/p>\n

Highlands Ranch<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Experts will set off fireworks from Highlands Heritage Park<\/a> at South University Boulevard and East Quebec Avenue around 9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Lakewood<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Lakewood hosts the \u201cBig Belmar Bash\u201d<\/a> on July 3 starting at 5 p.m., with a drone light show slated to start at 9:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

Longmont<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The\u00a0public Longmont fireworks display<\/a> takes place on July 4, starting around 9:30 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Loveland<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Loveland’s fireworks display<\/a> has been cancelled due to budget constraints.<\/p>\n

Pueblo<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Pueblo West Vintage 4th of July Celebration<\/a> is back again. Fireworks will be launched at dark on July 4 at Civic Center Park. The event starts at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Westminster<\/strong><\/h2>\n
