(Sept. 24, 2019) \u2013 Less than three months after opening, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/locations\/uchealth-greeley-hospital\/\">UCHealth Greeley Hospital<\/a> proudly announces the arrival of the 100<sup>th<\/sup> baby.<\/p>\n<p>Mayra Villalobos and Adrian Recendiz of Mead are the parents of baby boy Gael Recendiz, who was born at 4:08 p.m. Saturday, weighing 8 pounds and 1 ounce and measuring 20 inches.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/provider\/amy-johnson-md\/\">Dr. Amy Johnson<\/a>, a UCHealth obstetrician, delivered the baby at the newly opened hospital at 6767 W. 29<sup>th<\/sup> St.<\/p>\n<p>Gael is the first boy for the couple. He has three older sisters.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday morning, as he was cradled in his mother\u2019s arms, the birth center team surprised the family with a special gift package from the hospital gift shop \u2013 a teddy bear, baby blanket and special frame.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is an honor for the entire team at Greeley Hospital Birth Center to help bring new life into the world and support the families of our community,\u201d said Tammy Piccone, director of nursing at the birth center.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital\u2019s birth center with C-section operating room includes comfortable, home-like private suites with plenty of natural light and a private bathroom and shower. The center offers a number of comfort options for women, including nitrous oxide, hydrotherapy, epidural analgesia and other labor tools. It also features a Level II special care nursery for any babies who need a little extra care.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0four-story hospital, which opened July 3, also features an intensive care unit, operating rooms, a level III trauma center and emergency department, cardiac services and 24\/7 pharmacy, imaging and laboratory services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GREELEY, Colo.
