David will continue this focus to ensure we provide superior care for the patients and communities we serve,\u201d said<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/about\/leadership\/\"> Kevin Unger<\/a>, president and CEO of Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies.<\/p>\n<p>Thompson brings extensive financial experience in integrated health care systems including his current role as CFO of Central Maine Healthcare, a three-hospital system that is affiliated with Mass General Hospital in Boston. His background also includes leadership positions at other health care systems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s exciting to return to Colorado and an honor to join a nationally recognized health care system,\u201d said Thompson. \u201cInnovation, value and patient experience will drive the future of health care, and I look forward to joining a team that is so focused on these areas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>UCHealth\u2019s innovation and partnerships with industry partners have already led to the development of new technologies, improving the safety and quality of patient care and helping control health care costs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a member of our financial leadership team, David will work closely with UCHealth\u2019s innovation department and the development of products and tools to transform the future of health care,\u201d said UCHealth CFO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/today\/uchealth-names-dan-rieber-as-chief-financial-officer\/\">Dan Rieber<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thompson earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Texas Tech University<\/a>.
