(Aug. 19, 2018) \u2013 It won\u2019t be hard for family members to remember the exact time and date that Luciana\u2019s Castillo was born.<\/p>\n<p>She was born at 1818 hours on the 18th of August in the 18th year of the millennium at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/locations\/uchealth-mother-and-family-center-at-medical-center-of-the-rockies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UCHealth Birth Center \u2013\u00a0Medical Center of the Rockies<\/a> in Loveland.<\/p>\n<p>The date \u2013 8\/18\/18 \u2013 is actually a palindrome date, which means it reads the same backward and forward. She is the daughter of Erika Crespin and Derrick Castillo of Greeley.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Crespin, who is a native of Loveland, arrived at MCR about 9 a.m. Saturday ready to deliver her second child. About nine hours later, as the delivery was nearing, she thought it was fun that her daughter was going to be born on the unique date of 8\/18\/18, but it still hadn\u2019t occurred to her that the specific time of birth would be just as fun.<\/p>\n<p>With one big push, Crespin delivered Luciana at exactly 6:18 p.m. \u2013 or 1818 hours as it\u2019s officially recorded \u2013 with the support of nurse midwife Erin Stoesz from Women&#8217;s Clinic of Northern Colorado and the UCHealth birth center team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe cooperated quite well,\u201d Crespin said about her newborn daughter\u2019s impeccable timing.<\/p>\n<p>One more fun numbers twist on Luciana\u2019s birth: Her older sister is eight years old.<\/p>\n<p>The numbers eight and 18, hold special significance \u2013 symbolizing luck, life, love and prosperity \u2013 in some cultures, according to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation-now\/2018\/08\/18\/8-18-18-reported-2018-most-popular-wedding-date\/1030622002\/\">USA Today report<\/a>\u00a0on why Aug. 18 was such a popular for weddings this year.<\/p>\n<p>Luciana\u2019s birth date wasn\u2019t the only palindrome date this month.
