Three new providers have joined the UCHealth team in northern Colorado in recent weeks.
Dr. Nathan Ayer, an internal medicine physician, is caring for patients at UCHealth Internal Medicine, 2500 Rocky Mountain Ave. in Loveland.
“I cherish the role as healer and teacher in the lives of my patients while assisting each patient’s unique path to wellness,” he said. He is particularly interested in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, cost-conscious care and assisting each patient’s unique path to wellness.
He earned a medical degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, N.Y. He also completed an internal medicine residency at University of Vermont College of Medicine.

Dr. Sandra Plybon, a family medicine physician, recently joined the team at UCHealth Family Medicine in Loveland.
“I like to think of myself as a health coach, and through preventive care and patient education, I keep my patients healthy,” she said.
She now cares for patients at UCHealth Family Medicine, 1327 Eagle Drive in south Loveland.
As a family medicine specialist, she cares for patients of all ages. She particularly enjoys working with children and people with allergies and asthma.
Dr. Plybon earned her medical degree from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. She completed a family medicine residency with the University of Wyoming in Cheyenne.
She speaks fluent English, Slovak and Czech.

Carey Ramirez, an advanced practice registered nurse specializing in palliative care, is now caring for patients at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.
Palliative care is not only a special interest for Ramirez; it’s his passion.
“It is particularly gratifying to arm a patient with the tools required to more effectively manage his or her pain, leading to improved quality of life,” he said. “Likewise, it is equally important to arm the patient and family with the information they need to make informed decisions in accordance with their beliefs and goals. My overall goal is to become a resource for patients and families to assist them in achieving improved outcomes and satisfaction.
Ramirez earned a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree from New York University College of Nursing. He also completed a fellowship in pain and palliative care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
He speaks English, German and Spanish.
