The Medication Access and Renewal Center (MARC) works closely with your doctors, your insurance company, and your pharmacy to help get you affordable access to your medications, if available. Learn more about our services below.

For certain high-dollar specialty medications, insurance companies require prior approval before they pay for a prescription.
A prior authorization request is the process to gain approval from your insurance company. We also find any available co-pay assistance, grants from foundations or free drug programs to help you afford your high-dollar medications.
Our PAR team also utilizes evidence-based clinical information to make sure your medications continue to be effective for your treatment through our Patient Management Program.

The MARC FAM team works with your UCHealth care team and your insurance company to process insurance prior authorization requests for high-dollar outpatient facility-administered medications. Examples of these medications might be IV infusions, IV chemotherapy, Botox injections, and joint injections.
