I strive to create an environment of empathy and warmth. After spending time together, I hope that you will feel comfortable and safe enough to engage in deep conversation, sit in silence, cry or laugh. You’ll feel enlightened and heard. I partner with my clients to set goals at their pace and with their priorities at the forefront of each session. I process issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, chronic illness and grief and loss. I can also work with couples or people individually who want to work on their relationships, communication patterns and setting/identifying healthy boundaries. Realizing that there is a deep connection between our body and our mind, I utilize active listening, self regulation, mindfulness, and other stress and anxiety reducing techniques. All in conjunction with CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, person-centered and strengths-based therapy.
With a Master’s degree in Social Work, I have a broad range of experience working in many different settings throughout our community including; hospice, clinical family medicine settings, and private practice. I have an extensive understanding of how important emotional health is to people across their lifespan and in all ages and stages of life.
