Clinical interest for patients

My many clinical interests include surgery for simple and complex abdominal wall hernias and minimally invasive surgery of the abdomen.

Research interest for patients

My research experience and interests primarily focus on laparoscopy, surgical simulation, resident/medical student education, international surgery, and hernia repair.

Volunteer activities

I am dedicated to improving health and surgical education internationally. I have traveled to my father’s home country, the Philippines, on medical missions and have provided lectures and presentations in Brazil, Germany, and the Philippines.

Philosophy of care

My goal is to provide optimal, safe surgical care for patients with as minimally invasive an approach as feasible. I strongly believe that excellent patient communication eases anxiety and allays concerns, optimizing the patient’s ability to recover.
