- Clinical interest for patients
I have 20 years of experience in all aspects of breast imaging including digital breast tomosynthesis ("3-D mammography"), screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and ductography. I have extensive experience in all types of imaging guided breast biopsies, including stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound guided breast biopsy, and MRI guided breast biopsy.
- Research interest for patients
My research interests are primarily focused on improving screening mammography-both how we radiologists interpret (or "read" the mammograms) and how frequently women should be advised to have a screening mammogram. I participate in the ISPY 2 trial, an NCI and ACRIN sponsored trial for patients with advanced breast cancer where we utilize breast MRI to evaluate how a patient's tumor is reacting to neoadjuvent chemotherapy.
