I believe in working with patients on their internal and external environments to accomplish their healthcare goals. Healthcare goals are influenced by the provider but individual to the patient and constantly changing. The internal environment includes perceptual, spiritual and social components, which cannot be separated from the biochemistry of the patient. I enjoy developing a positive therapeutic relationship with my patients who are not just “clients” to me.
I grew up in Minnesota in the water, ravines and forests. I brought home injured and abandoned baby animals and cared fro them until they could be set free. I continue to love and foster my connection with the world around me. I garden, ski, run, paddle board, kayak, anything to be outdoors.

- Clinical interest for patients

My clinical interests include working with families because they are part of the patient's internal and external environment. My special interest is in transitions for girls and women as that affects the whole family.
