It is important to establish a trusting relationship with my patient so that he or she feels comfortable sharing personal and sensitive details about themselves. An emphasis on listening and clear communication are cornerstones to establishing this patient-physician relationship.
I entered into Medicine for a number of reasons. On one hand, Medicine is a field that provides me with life-long learning and never ceases to be challenging. There is also a problem-solving aspect to Medicine that always seems to engage me without fail; and more importantly, the main goal of solving said problem, is the opportunity to help another person, my patient, in a profound and meaningful way.
Outside of my clinical practice, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, music (piano and guitar) and sailing.
