I chose to become a family medicine physician because I enjoy forming close, lasting relationships with patients and their families. My approach to patient care is to deliver high-quality care through evidence-based medicine while partnering with patients to develop a plan that best fits each patient’s goal for his or her own medical journey. I emphasize wellness and preventative care to help patients live their best life, filled with healthy choices related to exercise, relationships, and food. I always take an opportunity to discuss the importance of vaccines, cancer screening, and other essential preventive needs. When appropriate, I will thoroughly discuss medication options and help my patients understand why a particular medication is necessary.
I like the diversity of primary care, which allows me to see patients for well-visits and different acute or chronic problems throughout the day. I relish seeing a wide range of patients, from newborns to older adults. My specific interests include pediatrics, LGBTQ and marginalized populations, women’s health, skin concerns, and geriatric medicine. I can assist patients with many in-office procedures, including joint injections, wart treatments, skin biopsies, toenail removals, and various women’s health procedures, including Nexplanon and IUD placement.
My spouse and I moved to Colorado from North Carolina in 2020 to explore a new region of our beautiful country. When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling and going to restaurants with family and friends, hiking with my dog, reading, and trying out new recipes.
