United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee expands 15-year partnership with UCHealth

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee is pleased to announce the elevation of UCHealth hospitals and clinics in southern Colorado within the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Medical Network. Five UCHealth hospitals, along with 100 clinics in the region, will serve as a national medical center for athletes who live and train in Colorado Springs – many at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center adjacent to the Memorial Hospital Central campus. 

UCHealth is one of only four national medical centers within the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Medical Network, joining Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles; UF Health in Gainesville, Florida; and The Steadman Clinic in Vail.

We’re thrilled to welcome UCHealth as the newest member of this established group of premier medical providers who care for the unique needs of Team USA athletes.” 

UCHealth’s southern Colorado hospitals and clinics will provide athletes with comprehensive care to include preventive services, along with care for acute and chronic illnesses and sports injuries. As the only Level I Trauma Center in southern Colorado – the top designation for trauma care - UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central also has the resources to provide the highest level of care to critically ill or injured patients. 

Each year, roughly 15,000 athletes train at the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. The city is also home to more than two dozen National Governing Bodies and Paralympic Sport organizations.
