UCHealth Chief Financial Officer Announces Retirement
Aurora, Colo. (Jan 10, 2025) – After 18 years of service to UCHealth and University of Colorado Hospital, and 25 years working in health care, UCHealth Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Dan Rieber is now announcing his retirement.
Rieber was named UCHealth CFO in 2018, and previously served as UCHealth Memorial Hospital CFO and as finance director and controller at University of Colorado Hospital. Rieber will assist in the search for his successor and will continue in his position until UCHealth’s next CFO has been named.
“Dan has been an essential member of UCHealth’s leadership team for many years, supporting our focus on innovation initiatives, patient experience, access and quality. He will leave behind a stong legacy focused on serving communities throughout Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska,” said Elizabeth B. Concordia, UCHealth president and CEO.
Challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation and expense increases have threatened hospitals across the nation and throughout Colorado. Rieber led through these challenges, sustaining UCHealth’s positive outlook, strong quality metrics and excellent credit ratings.
“Serving as UCHealth’s chief financial officer has been one of the highlights of my career,” said Rieber. “Over the years, we have accomplished so much together including expanding access to excellent health care for our patients, supporting UCHealth staff members and providers, and ensuring the financial stability of UCHealth.”
