UCHealth announces partnership with National Fitness Campaign to bring outdoor Fitness Courts® to 10 Colorado communities.

UCHealth is investing in the health of Colorado communities by partnering with National Fitness Campaign (NFC) to bring free, high quality outdoor fitness and community wellness programming to Colorado.

“Living an active lifestyle is so important for everyone’s health and well-being,” said Manny Rodriguez, UCHealth’s chief marketing, experience and innovation officer. “It is well documented that regular exercise can help ward off illness, manage chronic health conditions and improve mental health. We are excited to partner with National Fitness Campaign to bring fun, free and easy to access fitness options to people across the state of Colorado.”

This partnership is a part of UCHealth’s Ready. Set. CO initiative, a state-wide challenge to help Coloradoans become fitter, stronger and healthier, re-claiming Colorado’s place as the healthiest state in the nation.

NFC’s best-in-class outdoor Fitness Courts feature a series of seven movement workouts with the benefits of digital coaching on the free Fitness Court App, delivering regular content to keep fitness training fun for adults of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. UCHealth will provide health care experts to assist with healthy lifestyle programming at each UCHealth-sponsored Fitness Court.

Municipalities, schools and other organizations may now apply for grant funding to assist in building a Fitness Court, courtesy of UCHealth and National Fitness Campaign. Grant recipients will receive tools, education and planning resources to build and sustain an exceptional outdoor wellness culture. UCHealth and NFC launched the pilot program with two sites – Loveland, (opened 2019) and Highlands Ranch (opened 2022).

“National Fitness Campaign is proud to welcome UCHealth as the state sponsor in Colorado,” said Mitch Menaged, founder of NFC. “We are excited to be part of UCHealth’s Ready. Set. CO initiative, as the campaign will deliver tremendous resources to build a wellness culture across the state and improve quality of life as the network of Fitness Courts grows. We look forward to working with UCHealth to make this campaign a great success.”
