KKTV-TV (Colorado Springs) | Southern Colorado hospital honors organ donors

UCHealth Parkview Medical Center and the non-profit Donor Alliance honored organ, eye and tissue donors, and their families with a flag raising ceremony Monday. April is National Donate Life Month and UCHealth Parkview wanted to celebrate it in a special way. The ceremony included speakers from the hospital and Donor Alliance as well as a person sharing their personal story about donating life. Lori Pratt’s son Jericho suffered from depression and sadly took his own life. But because Jericho was an organ donor, he saved the lives of multiple people. “The impact that donation and his gifts of life that you know the four people that he was able to save it doesn’t impact just the recipient it goes well beyond that.”
