Highly effective.<\/strong> Our emergency department at Memorial Hospital is consistently one of the busiest in Colorado.\r\n\r\nOur cardiac alert program has gained national attention for the average time it takes (60 minutes) for a cardiac patient to arrive at the hospital and have a wire inserted to remove a blockage. The national average is 90 minutes.\n\n\n<h2 id=\"our-level-i-trauma-center-designation\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Level I Trauma Center designation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The State of Colorado has designated UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central as a Level I Trauma Center, making it one of only five hospitals in the state with the highest classification for trauma care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Level I distinction recognizes the hospital has the ability to treat severe and complex injuries.
